By the end of this level, your child can:

• Say the alphabet, spell their own name, and count without hesitating
• Introduce themselves and ask someone their name, age and where they are from
• Talk about their family, their school and the things they like
• Understand and follow simple spoken instructions and questions

By the end of this level, your child can:

• Describe their daily routine and ask about someone else’s
• Say where something is and describe where things are in a room
• Talk about what they can and cannot do
• Politely ask for something they need

• Ask for and give directions
• Talk about plans for the weekend or a holiday
• Hold a short video call on their own

• Tell a story from beginning to end, in the right order
• Make a plan with someone and agree the details
• Describe people and places in detail
